IN-PERSON IN FORT WAYNE • TELEHEALTH ACROSS INDIANA

BEYOND THE THERAPY CHAIR

Cozy games, good company, and a quiet night in.

Outside the office, I’m often playing a cozy video game, gathering around a board game, or settling into a D&D adventure. I also enjoy bike riding and kayaking when I’m ready to trade the couch for some fresh air.

Spending time with friends is my favorite form of self-care. My family is spread across the country, so time together matters to me, too. My husband and I are homebodies at heart, a good movie and an evening on the couch is usually an easy yes.

I grew up around Marion, Indiana, and spent a couple of years in Omaha before making Fort Wayne home. I earned my bachelor’s degree in social work from Indiana Wesleyan University and my Master of Social Work through Indiana University in Fort Wayne.

Much of my professional experience has been in youth and foster care, alongside experience in hospital social work. I’m a Licensed Social Worker continuing toward clinical licensure as an LCSW.

WHO I WORK WITH

You can be having a hard time and still be glad you’re here.

Life rarely gives us one thing to work through at a time. Grief can sit beside anxiety. Relationship struggles can wear down your confidence. A change you wanted can still leave you feeling lost.

I’m especially passionate about supporting people through grief and trauma. My own experiences have shaped how much I value being met with understanding, without assumptions about what healing should look like.

You might feel at home here if…

✦ You’re grieving a person, relationship, or future you thought you would have.

✦ Past experiences still affect how you feel about yourself, other people, or what comes next.

✦ Anxiety or depression is making it harder to feel present in your own life.

✦ You’re navigating ADHD and feeling worn down by the effort of keeping up.

✦ You want space to explore substance use or addiction without shame.

✦ Relationships feel complicated, your confidence has taken a hit, or life is changing faster than you can catch your breath.

You’re allowed to want more than getting through the day. We can make room for what hurts and what you still hope for.

HOW I WORK

Honest conversations. A steady presence. Room for humor.

People often describe me as grounded. I’m down-to-earth, honest, and real with a splash of humor. I want our conversations to feel like a place where you can exhale and say what’s actually on your mind.

Person-Centered & Humanistic

Your experiences, values, and priorities help guide our work. I bring curiosity and support as we explore what matters to you and what you want to be different.

Internal Family Systems (IFS)

Ever feel like part of you wants to say yes while another part wants to turn off your phone and disappear? IFS gives us a way to understand those competing reactions. We’ll get curious about what each part is trying to protect and help you respond with more compassion and choice.

Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT)

For moments when your emotions turn the volume up to eleven. DBT offers practical tools for getting through hard moments, understanding your feelings, asking for what you need, and navigating conflict.

EMDR

Sometimes you know something is over, but a reminder still makes it feel like it’s happening now. EMDR uses a structured process that may include guided eye movements, taps, or sounds to help you work through distressing memories. We begin with preparation and support, and you stay involved in decisions about the pace.

Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT)

Your mind can be a very convincing storyteller. ACT helps you notice difficult thoughts without letting them make every decision. We’ll practice making room for uncomfortable feelings while moving toward the people, experiences, and values that matter to you.

Psychoeducation

The “Oh, that explains a lot” part of therapy. We’ll unpack how stress, emotions, and familiar patterns work, then connect that information to your life. Understanding what’s happening can help you feel less lost and make more informed choices about what to try next.

Whatever you’re feeling, even if you can’t quite name it yet, there’s room for it here.
